Drexel's women's basketball team enjoyed it's greatest stretch of success recently with the influx of European talent that included Gabriela Marginean (Romania), Jasmina Roseel (Belgium), Kamile Nacickaite (Lithuania), Jen Stjarnstrom (Sweden), and Renee Johnson-Allen (England).  Last year's roster included two overseas players in Jamila Thompson (England) and Florence Ouattara (Ivory Coast).

Women's Schedule Released

9/11/2015

The Drexel women's basketball team will begin its 2015-16 season in a similar fashion to the way it ended last year's campaign, playing in the Women's National Invitational Tournament.  The preseason version will feature at least one home game, the first of the year for the Dragons, when they take on Dartmouth at the DAC on November 13th.  At least two more games will follow at times and sites to be determined.

The Dragons will head up to Bethlehem for a Thanksgiving four team tournament hosted by Lehigh.  Drexel will take on (not actually in the) city rival Villanova in the opener before playing Lehigh or Montana on the second day.

Drexel has assembled a very impressive out of conference schedule in addition to the two tournaments, they'll take on Vanderbilt of the SEC on campus on December 3rd.  The SEC opponent is a huge get for Drexel, a team with a pretty proven track record against SEC teams in recent memory (sorry, Gators).  Rounding out the out of conference schedule will be big games against Hampton, St. Joes, Penn, and Syracuse.  All of those games are away but will be short drives ranging from just 4 hours to 4 blocks away.
